SECURITY:
We have several security procedures in place:
Doorman:
A DOORMAN is stationed at the front door 16 hours a day (8:00 a.m. through 1:00 a.m.) HE IS REQUIRED TO ANNOUNCE ALL CALLERS VIA THE INTERCOM. Once the visitor is acknowledged by the resident, the Doorman will permit entry. No one is allowed upstairs without express approval and permission of the resident. If you are expecting a number of guests, you may provide the Doorman with a list of their names instead of asking him to announce each arrival.
Intercom:
The INTERCOM system was installed to provide an additional measure of security for building residents when the Doorman is not on duty. Please use it to screen your visitors. If you are expecting a guest, please take the precaution of speaking to them before allowing them to enter. The system will only work if we use it.
Lobby Camera:
Residents with cable T.V. access can monitor the lobby via the appropriate T.V. channel.
Key Form:
If you are giving your keys to someone, you must notify the Doorman/Superintendent. He will provide you with a form that authorizes him to allow your guests entry to your apartment. No one will be allowed entry to your apartment without this authorization. This is for your protection.
AS AN ADDITIONAL MEASURE, WE SUGGEST RESIDENTS NOT HOLD THE DOOR OPEN TO UNKNOWN PERSONS. THIS IS NOT BEING RUDE. IT IS PLAYING IT SAFE.
